Upon your graduation, you will be ready to play a financial role in an international business. Financial professionals are in high demand. Every business worldwide needs to produce the financial results of their operations and have them audited for accuracy and legality. Your ability to understand finance, accountancy and business operations and your ability to cope with cultural differences, will allow you to add value to any business you encounter. It is those particular skills that companies are looking for.

Potential Careers After the Programme

Financial Controller

Financial controllers run the accounting function and are responsible for the company's books and records.

Management Accountant

Management Accountants perform analysis to assist management with investments, risk management, budgeting, planning, strategizing, and decision-making.

Business Controller

Business Controllers provide the management of a company with input and advice aimed at making (strategic) decisions and optimizing the structure of the organization.

Financial Business Analyst

Financial Business Analysts analyse the business model and finances of an organisation and use their findings to advise for improving business budgeting, management, and overall operations.

Assistant Controller

Junior Accountant

Junior accountants manage daily accounting and financial tasks.

Master

経営学修士号（MBA）を取得するには、修士号（理学修士号または文学修士号）または大学院研究プログラムに応募することができます。

Practical experience

International

英語で学び、講師やクラスメイトは世界各地から来ています。しかし、国際的であるということは、国際税法や会計ルールなどのトピックを学び、実際のケースを使用して国際プロジェクトに取り組むことも意味します。また、前述のように、インターンシップ、学期交換留学、卒業課題のためにオランダ国内外で最大 1.5 年間を過ごすため、学習中に国際的な仕事の経験を積むことができます。

Year 1

準備段階（1 年目）では、その後の学習に必要な基礎知識を習得します。グループ プロジェクトに取り組むほか、授業やワークショップに参加し、オンラインまたは学校で、一緒にまたは個別に知識を習得して応用します。

Year 2

Year 3

The first semester of year 3 consists of an elective that tailors your career even further. You can choose one at Avans or perhaps take part in an exchange programme at another university in The Netherlands or abroad. In quarter 3, you prepare (external) financial reports to advise a company on financial issues. Finally, in quarter 4 of year 3, you have another opportunity to deepen or broaden your knowledge of finance by choosing an elective.Courses

Year 4

In year 4, your graduation year, you spend your time working as a finance professional. During your time at an international company, you show that you have mastered the final level of the programme and that you are ready to work as an international financial business professional. In semester 1, you support the organisation in achieving strategic goals by providing management information. In semester 2, you set up an administrative organisation focused on process control and risk management.

学習プログラムの選択の自由

For the first 1.5 years of your full-time programme at Avans, you will take courses within your own study programme, so that you have a steady home base and gain the necessary fundamental knowledge. After that, you have the opportunity to customise a quarter of your remaining programme by opting for elective modules from your own programme or other programmes that are best suited to what you want to learn.

You can also opt for more depth in your own field by charting a course that closely follows your home programme. You do not have to make these decisions alone; you will receive guidance from study and career counsellors and lecturers.
