At Winchester, we believe architectural practices should respond to the social and environmental concerns of today. We will develop your skills in drawing, modelling, new technologies, design processes and project management to help you navigate the world of architecture. Explore the fundamental design principles, analysing how places can affect our mood and the relationship between humans and buildings – how we interact with them, use them, and feel about them. Project-based work will be in our state-of-the-art studio, focusing on the humanities, technical skills, digital resources, and creative design. At each turn, we will urge you to ask important questions about your design. How can we use design to respond to the needs of society? What materials are the friendliest to our planet without compromising safety and longevity? Lecturers, including leading industry professionals, will work with you to cement your architectural concepts and make them a reality. -
